You are invitedl to attend our inaugural Flying Tigers In-Formation series of model building gatherings and tutorials, presented by the Flying Tigers Scale Model Builders club of New Orleans! These informal sessions are intended to provide all modelers with the opportunity to learn some new skills and polish existing ones, while helping us build friendships AND models at the same time. Come fly In Formation with us!

A WHO:
Lovers of scale models of all skill levels, abilities, and subject focus - in other words, YOU!

WHAT:
An ongoing series of member-led tutorials on all things scale model-related, from airbrush basics to figure painting to weathering and beyond!

SESSION 1 TOPIC:
By popular demand, our first session will be focused on Airbrushing 101, in which club member Ruben Chicas will discuss the basics of airbrush function, cleaning, use, and painting with acrylics and inks

WHERE:
Our first In-Formation session will be held at:
Go4Games
4953 W Napoleon Ave
Metairie, LA 70001

WHEN:
Due to the incoming tropical storm scheduled to arrive this week, we will be holding our first In-Formation session on Wednesday 7/29/2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm (the "gaming area" of Go4Games is open much later than the retail store side, so you are welcome to stay longer to build, hang out, or chat for as long as you'd like)

WHY:
Mission Objectives for the Flying Tigers In-Formation sessions are:
Share What We Know, Learn What We Don't - Disseminate information, tips, tricks, techniques, and other valuable information to all in attendance in order to grow our communal knowledge base and skill set
Bring, Build, and Brag - Choose a new model or one from your dusty pile o' plastic, bring it, build it, and brag about it to a community of folks excited to do the same with you!
Community Engagement and Outreach - If we build it, they will come... to build with us! This is a great FREE opportunity to invite others into our hobby and our club's sphere, with the goal of growing our ranks with folks who share our passion.

WHAT TO BRING:
A model to work on and tools to do so (optional)
For our Airbrushing 101 session, feel free to bring in your airbrush or airbrush setup if you'd like to work through hiccups you may be having, or to show what you have and how it functions. This will add a LOT to our meeting! (optional)
A cutting mat or similar desk mat to prevent any accidents (mandatory, if bringing something to build)
Yourself (mandatory)
A friend (optional)

QUESTIONS? Contact Ruben Chicas at (760) 408-8283 or rubenchicas@hotmail.
