The May meeting had 15 members in attendance. Most of the meeting dealt with model building and the reason for joining a model club. Members came with questions and the mind hive came with answers.

Ray brought his Williams Bros. 1/32 scale P-35 Seversky airplane kit and wanted suggestions for recreating the raised panel lines on the model. Suggestions ranged from using stretched sprue, engraving the lines, using thin super glue and fine brass rod, to using fishing line.

Michael, working on his 3D modeled and printed 1/72 scale Seaplane Tender Crane, asked about a thicker thread to represent the cable. Ruben, an avid fly fisherman, suggested using a 20 # or 30 # braided fishing line.

Rene showed off his Moebius Models 1/25 scale Stoned, Hoods and Crooks by Von Franco.

TigerFest ###I was held on April 11, 2026. Thank you everyone for making this contest a success. The event was held at VFW Harahan Post 3267 at 1133 Hickory Ave. Harahan, LA 70123.

Thanks to Hub Hobby Shop for your sponsorship and thanks to the Vendors that donated to the Raffle.

The April meeting had 15 members in attendance.

We discussed the success of the TigerFest ###I Contest the previous Saturday. And yes, discussed changes and how to make next year's show even better. Thanks to all that attended, entered models and helped judge. Also, thanks to the Vendors, hope you sold a lot and see you next year.

Jonny brought a vintage Revell '55 Chevy that he got from a vendor at the contest. He intends to strip the paint and make modifications.

Yes, we just had a meeting last week. That was the pre-contest meeting, and this is the post-contest meeting and regularly scheduled meeting.

Bring your good, bad and/or ugly experiences or list and notes from the contest to do a postmortem debriefing while your thoughts are fresh in your head and make a successful show even better next year.

As usual, come early to eat (the food shouldn't run out lol, the food was popular at the contest) and bring a model to show.

We will have an extra club meeting this Monday, April 6, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. This meeting will focus exclusively on the contest, so there will be no "show and tell."

We plan to begin the meeting over dinner once enough members arrive. Please try to be on time so that we can potentially end early.

If our regular room is occupied, we will meet at the back of the dining room at Piccadilly.

Some of you are vendors or are physically unable to assist at the contest. Please come anyway to show your support and offer any ideas we might have missed.

The March meeting had 20 members in attendance.

The club members discussed the upcoming TIGERFEST ###I IPMS/USA Regional VI Regional Convention on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the VFW Harahan Post 3267, 1133 Hickory Ave, Harahan, LA 70123.

Rick showed off 3 models an AMT 1:25 scale '57 Ford Fairlane "Full on Kustom", Revell 1:25 scale '69 Ford Mustang built as replica from the 1976 movie Cannonball and Monogram 1:24 scale '78 Pontiac Trans Am built as the replica from the movie Hooper.

Andrew brought a Tamiya 1:35 scale Sherman M4A3 tank being built straight out of the box with no aftermarket details or improvements with vinyl tracks instead of the individual track links he's used to using.
