Our purpose is to perpetuate the spirit of the WA and to ever Cherish and keep alive the friendships made in peace and War during service in the old command.

Thanks Robert, it's for this very reason we do what we do. Our social program is back and will be better than ever. I thought the most impressive thing about yesterday was the generational gathering. The 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, etc... we're represented well. I sincerely hope more of the guys can find us, or us them, so we can truly "perpetuate the spirit of the old command". Till the next time.

Thank you so much to Terrence Patrick Ryan, Bryan Gardner, and Jay Castagnetta for a great reunion at Jackson Barracks in NOLA at the 1-141 Field Artillery Battalion (Washington Artillery) headquarters yesterday for a bunch of old farts, and of course, my lovely and talented wife. The WAVA (Washington Artillery Veterans Association) room is one of the most impressive rooms/venues to honor its heritage I’ve seen in a military BLDG in my career of almost 30 years. I’ll be joining the organization. Y’all have done such a great thing for that unit and its alumni. Very proud. Oh yeah… TRY US!
