💜💚 Understanding Schizoaffective Disorder: Awareness, Compassion & Hope 💙🧡

Schizoaffective disorder is a complex mental health condition that includes symptoms of both a mood disorder (such as depression or bipolar disorder) and psychosis-related symptoms (such as hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized thinking). Because symptoms can vary from person to person, early recognition and individualized treatment are key.

The good news? Recovery and stability are possible. With the right combination of psychiatric care, medication management, counseling, supportive services, and community support, individuals living with schizoaffective disorder can lead meaningful and fulfilling lives.

At Resource Management Services (RMS), we are dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered mental health care and supportive services to help individuals and families navigate the path toward healing and wellness.

Excellent information!!

💜 Bipolar Disorder is more than mood swings. It’s a real mental health condition—and support matters.

Bipolar disorder can affect mood, energy, activity levels, and daily functioning through periods of emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression). This can go misdiagnosed for years so it is critical to give a full discount of symptoms to your provider. While symptoms may feel overwhelming, stability and recovery are possible with the right treatment and support.

Treatment looks different for everyone and may include psychiatric care, medication management, therapy, healthy routines, and supportive services to help individuals thrive. Most importantly—no one has to face it alone. 💜

At Resource Management Services, we provide compassionate, individualized care to patients ages 6 and up, through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, licensed counseling, CPST, and PSR services tailored to each person’s unique needs. Services can stand alone or be combined to support long-term wellness.

Grateful for the opportunity to represent LRMHA along with my friends at Resource Management Services to speak about the importance of the start of Mental Health Awareness Month on KPLC in Lake Charles today. 💚

These conversations matter. Raising awareness, reducing stigma, and reminding our communities that support is available and recovery is possible!

Rural Mental Health Day at the Capitol was a meaningful and energizing day for Louisiana!

We’re thankful to Rep. Jack McFarland and Senator Jay Luneau for leading the way in designating April 27th in recognition of rural mental health.

We appreciate the many legislators who stopped by to show their support and learn more about the needs in rural communities. It was a joy to connect with the public, share resources, and continue building momentum for stronger mental health care across our state. 💚

Stress is a constant in agriculture — tight margins, long hours and things outside your control can weigh heavy day after day.

April is Stress Awareness Month, a good time to remind you that taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of the farm.
