We are so sad that tomorrow’s Wish to Fish Louisiana event in Venice was canceled due to the weather. As much as we tried to hold onto hope, Mother Nature had other plans.
The hardest part isn’t changing our plans, it is imagining the disappointment on the faces of our amazing youth participants from the Miracle League of Greater New Orleans when they learned they wouldn’t be making the trip. They have been looking forward to this special day on the water, and so have all of our incredible volunteers, captains, and sponsors who were ready to help create lasting memories.
Safety will always come first, but that doesn’t make it easier.
We are already hoping and praying that we’ll be able to reschedule this event soon so these deserving young anglers can experience the adventure they have been waiting for.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this event, and especially to our captains, volunteers, sponsors, and the Miracle League families for your understanding. We are not giving up on making this day happen.
Please keep your fingers crossed that we will be back on the water together very soon. 🎣💙💚
