On July 24, 2025, Miron Lockett lost his life on St. Claude and Franklin. We honor his life and mourn his senseless death.

While Miron's death was preventable perhaps it is the event that has finally sparked change along the St. Claude corridor to make roads safe for cyclist, pedestrians, and motorist alike.

We at Ghost Bike might not have known you Miron you are our brother. In heaven may your tires stay full, the bike lanes be plentiful and the pavement be smooth my brother.

This evening at Bundy Road and N. I-10 Service Road a Ghost Bike was placed for Karen Foster. Karen was a new resident to New Orleans who loved animals and touched the lives of everyone she met with kindness.

The person responsible for her death fled the scene and still has not been identified.

After many years, the Ghost Bike Memorial at Elysian Fields is going through some changes. Working with the City of New Orleans, the Ghost Bike Memorial will be removed and a new officially sanctioned memorial will be erected in its place.

Have you lost a loved one to unsafe infrastructure? Many of you have. This org with the help of Freddie King and the rest of our city council now laughs in the face of the dead. They do not care about our Brothers, Sisters, Mothers and Fathers mowed down by reckless drivers. I advise you all to reach out to your city officials and tell them Our Streets NOLA does not speak for everyone we lost.
