Search and Restore New Orleans A three day celebration of the creative improvisors of New Orleans, Jazz and Beyond What is Search And Restore NOLA?

Search And Restore NOLA is a 3 day jazz festival (April 30th-May 2) showcasing the most creative improvisers in the area. These artists make fun, creative and challenging music that doesn't fix into the conventional "NOLA music" box. Music that is hip and new but doesn't forget to trace itself back to its original New Orleans heritage and lineage. S&R NOLA aims to bring this modern edge of jazz in

to the limelight. Search & Restore was founded in NYC in late 2007 by Adam Schatz. It has since grown into a 501©3 non-profit organization, committed to bringing the artists and audiences of new jazz and improvised music together in new ways, while never forgetting it’s DIY roots. Adam promotes really cool acts like: Kneebody, Andrew Bird, Andrew D’angelo, Ben Allison, Jeff Ballard, John Zorn and so many others. If all goes well this will be the beginning of a New Orleans Office.

holy guacamole, the round robin last night was the stuff of legend. Too many great moments to count! Nealand playing the spinning stool, Mario Abney rocking drums & trumpet simultaneously, Mike Dillon jumping the entire area the stage in 5 minutes, Brian Coogan's scifi sounds and Will Thompson's accordionics, Jeff Albert starting it off so strong and Mark Southerland & Dave Capello ending it perfectly.
