Until December, all profits from sales of Amoeba Balm products will go directly to Ghana ACT, an alliance for community transformations in Ghana. Friends of Amoeba Balm,

A new batch of Amoeba Soap is cured and ready to go!

This batch contains the oils of lavender, lemon, patchouli, geranium, clary sage, peppermint, rose, chaste tree and sandalwood and is made of the saponified oils of coconut, olive, palm and Porter Road Butcher's pork fat.

Ring in the changing weather with a spring-time-scent!

p.s. Did you know that the seeds of clary sage, or Salvia sclarea, have mucilaginous coats? Historically, herbalists used these seeds to remove foreign matter from eyes (that is, by placing the seeds ON the eye ball.)

Yowaza, it's been a while since I've updated all my Amoeba Balm friends!

A BIG thank you to all who helped raise nearly $500 for Ghana ACT! This contribution will buy 51 new insecticide-treated bed nets (ITNs) for the residents in Saviefe-Deme, Ghana.

The Holidays are just around the corner! Now is an excellent time to place an order for soaps, lips and body balms to use as stocking stuffers. 100% of profits are given to Ghana ACT, who will use the monies to purchase bed-nets for rural Ghanaians. Do you need a gift for a birthday, house-warming, or any other congratulatory event? Might I suggest a home-made bar of soap or lip balm?

Just finished curing is a batch of sweet amber & lavender soap. This soap has a soft floral and slightly sweet scent - what a perfect way to say adieu to the summer months!
(There are a few tea tree oil bars left as well.)
These 6 oz bars are large enough to be cut in half for optimal usage!

Remember, 100% of profits are given to Ghana ACT.
