Join authors and historians Marlene Trestman and Roberta Brandes Gratz for a conversation exploring the history and significance of our St. Charles Avenue home. As we celebrate 60 years in this building, we’ll look back at its origins as the Jewish Orphans’ Home and its enduring role in Jewish life in New Orleans. Books by both authors will be available for purchase through Octavia Books, followed by a book signing.📖

We’re excited to kick off the Chavruta Exchange Program, a yearlong partnership connecting educators from our JCC with counterparts at the Dallas JCC to learn from one another, share ideas, and grow together through professional development and school visits.

To begin our year of learning and connection, we gathered for a Shabbat retreat at Toledo Bend! Participants had the opportunity to get to know one another, engage in professional development, prepare a Shabbat meal together, and spend meaningful time building relationships.
