“I have done nothing but sing your praises since you came. The photos you captured truly were the essence of us and our family and friends. And I am just so grateful.” ~ April, mom to three boys and so much more

Giving Tuesday is the biggest day of generosity across the globe! You can support families facing loss and turn love into a tangible legacy by giving to Momento Foundation today to help us reach our goal 🎉

The link to give is in our profile and on our website home page as well as http://giving25.funraise.org

Every dollar you give helps us show up for families whose time is running out, like April’s featured here. Today, we are asking for your support to reach 60+ more families next year and build out our comprehensive Learning Library for free and 24/7 accessible grief support for all ✨

We are over 1/3 of the way to our goal and we need your help to get the rest of the way there! Give if you can, and please share to help us reach more people 💗 every interaction matters.

A terminal diagnosis doesn’t wait for us to get funding. Families are running out of time and we need to be able to show up for them. Thank you for your support! We want to help as many people as we possibly can ♥️

This Thanksgiving, we are filled with gratitude for you. Over the last ten years, you have helped us turn Ashley’s idea of healing into a reality that has helped hundreds of families through loss and grief.

This past Nov 19th, we got to thank so many of our community in person, but for those who couldn’t make it, we want you to know we are grateful for you too!

We want to highlight , Kalon Creative, and .is for their continued critical support and consistent generosity. They have made crucial gifts to help us through this incredible milestone 🎉

Another major shoutout of gratitude to our photographer volunteers, like who took some of these photos. Especially our MVP (P = Photographer), who has said yes the most. Not just showing up to take pictures, but offering love, support, and a beautiful experience that translates to treasured memories.

Thank you to our individual donors and Heartbeat members. The gifts you have given over the years have added up to help us show up for hundreds of families and give love to so many.

If you have the means, we invite you to support our Giving Tuesday campaign (link in profile and on our website), so we can show up for more families, faster, next year. Please click on the link to meet April and see how your gifts helped us preserve memories for a mom and her three boys when their time was running out.

Just like no loss is too small the grieve, there is no gift too small to give.

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with those you love. Hug them tight. Be present. Make memories. And take photos! Tomorrow isn’t promised ♥️

We are grateful for you ✨

Yesterday, our founder gathered with many of the incredible members of our community to celebrate TEN YEARS of Momento Foundation showing up to support families in grief 🎉

But it wasn’t just about looking back (although we did have an amazing slide show to honor the families we have served and stories to share). Ashley announced that she will be passing the baton to a new interim Executive Director, and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to Kristyn Back, who will be leading the future of Momento 💖 Carol was able to record this clip to share with you.

Kristyn was our very first employee in 2017 and has continued to be a strong support to the organization throughout the years. As Kristyn steps into leadership and operations, Ashley will step away to focus on her book and speaking, but won’t disappear completely.

There are A LOT of exciting things on the horizon, including Kristyn’s work to scale mini-session experiences to serve more families faster as well as building our our Learning Library, providing 24/7 free access to grief resources and online support.

If you want to help us meet this critical moment and keep the momentum going, please support our Giving Tuesday campaign that launched at the event (link in bio): http://giving25.funraise.org

Every dollar helps us reach more families, train more photographers, and build resources that make healing accessible to everyone 💗 Will you join us?

Thank you for 10 years of belief, generosity, and showing up when people need it most. We’re so excited for this next decade and are grateful to have you with us on this adventure✨👏

A team spotlight moment ✨ Carol is our Key Relations Manager, who has been instrumental in building partnerships and maintaining supportive relationships with and many other organizations we serve over the past several years. She’s currently at the 2025 Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Patient & Caregiver Conference representing us, and letting people know how we can be there for them.

She’s incredible at what she does, not just supporting partners, but also photographers and families facing loss, leading thoughtful discussion in our book club, and so much more. As a loving mother with a fiercely passionate heart to care for others (not to mention seeking the latest grief research), we would not be who we are today without her. Our team is deeply grateful for her!

Carol typically stays out of the spotlight, but we wanted to share how awesome she is with you if you don’t already know 🥰

Join us on June 25th at 8pm EST for a special virtual screening of the award-winning documentary, A Butterfly Has Been Released 🦋

This 36 minute film has the potential to transform your life if you let it. At Momento Foundation, we believe inviting death to the table inspires a more meaningful existence where we show up more fully and love without reservations. It takes courage to be present with death, and this film embodies that bravery and love so beautifully.

You’re invited to an exclusive Q&A with the filmmakers afterward for a meaningful conversation and deeper insights 💖

Register via Zoom through the link in our bio and save your seat 🎥 Send us a message if you have any issues signing up. We want to make sure you can join us!

In the landscape of loss, love is the most radical act of courage.

We don’t measure our impact in dollars, we measure it in moments. In the spaces between breaths where families connect most deeply. In the portraits that say what words cannot when time becomes a whisper. When tears are met with love and support.

At Momento Foundation, we believe vulnerability is strength and love heals. Grief is not a weakness to overcome, but a profound human experience to be honored.

This Giving Tuesday, you’re not just donating. You’re saying to families facing their most challenging seasons, “You are seen. You are loved. You matter.”

Your donation today gives families a brightness of hope in the darkest days. Your gift meets them where they are with love, support, and care to preserve memories as well as provide helpful tools and grief resources.

And TODAY every dollar is DOUBLED 💖
Take advantage of the matching gift to double the impact in healing you can create up to $50,000 🎉

Will you join us in supporting families through loss? Link to give in our profile, on our homepage, and here: https://generosity24.funraise.org

✨Celebrating 9 Years of Healing✨

It’s hard to believe, but 9 years ago, Ashley, our founder, was standing in a living room asking her friends and family to come together to launch Love Not Lost (now Momento) into the world. It was a spark of hope that ignited a movement to revolutionize the way we heal in grief, and you have been brave enough to join our mission 🎉 Thank you!

For nearly a decade, we have walked alongside individuals and families through some of life’s hardest moments—offering spaces to grieve, providing resources for navigating loss, and most importantly, supporting each other in healing.

With our mission to help people heal in grief, we don’t mean returning to who we were before a loss (that’s not even possible). Healing is returning to wholeness: one that carries the beautiful complexity of all of our experiences integrated within.

Thanks to YOU, healing has been possible for hundreds of families and thousands of individuals!

As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the journey we have shared—what started as a small grassroots effort now growing into a National community of strength, love, and healing that is changing lives ♥️

Without your support, this wouldn’t be possible. Every donation, introduction, nomination, note of encouragement, every share… it all matters.

You’ve helped us expand our services including:
📸 preserving memories for the families of ’s metastatic breast cancer retreat at (pictured here)
🏙️ launching free 1-hour zoom webinars to help people navigate grief at work
💞Recruiting and training 15+ new photographers across the country
👏 Adding new referral partners, including the GA and NC chapters for ALS

Ashley also wrote a book and launched it on 📖 not only did y’all help her bring the book into the world today, you helped hit the stretch goal so that every backer will get an audiobook too! The campaign closes at 11:59pm EST, so get your copy by tonight if you want one 🙌 after that, pre-orders will open in January on Amazon!

Thank you for changing the world one family, one person, one heart at a time 💖 You are incredible.
