Inspired by the .foundation Gable Grant (G2) Summit! Last week, our CEO, Aaron, and NOLA Construction Manager, John, joined fellow workforce development leaders from across the country at the HQ in Charlotte.
The experience was a powerful reminder that while our organizations may serve different communities, we're united by a common goal: expanding awareness, access, and opportunity in the skilled trades.
We're especially grateful to the Lowe's Foundation, a partner that has supported unCommon at both the local and national level through volunteerism, philanthropy, and leadership in a growing movement to strengthen the skilled trades workforce.
During the Summit, Aaron and unCommon were honored to receive the 2026 Gable Grant Ambassador Award, recognizing our commitment to advancing the trades and collaborating with the Lowe's Foundation and G2 community to create lasting change across the sector.
We're proud to be part of this work and energized by what's possible when organizations come together to build the next generation of skilled leaders.

This past week Aaron Frumin was honored as a ambassador!

And we had Lowe's volunteers on our build site, helping our staff put some finishing touches in place on our latest build.

We had an awesome time last week at our promotion ceremony celebrating our youth completers this year!

Thank you to our volunteers, families, supporters and partners who came to celebrate these young people. An extra special thank you to Mayer Building Company for providing our Nailed It! Awards and Jordan's Seafood for providing crawfish.

We also want to thank our staff who have worked so hard this year to help this year be one of accomplishments! See you in July for summer session.

We want to spotlight one of our 2026 Industry Circle Partners Landis Construction !

This partners shows up in so many ways - build days where they bring their employees on site to work alongside our apprentices, supporting our Birthday Bash and being a presence throughout the year!

In apprentice's end of year survey the majority said they had meaningful experience with Landis - including the Touro Shakspeare Home site visit!
