Press Release: Louisiana Housing Corporation's LA Homeownership Think Tank Roundtable Friday, 26 January 2024—

Krewe of Industry has been formally invited to attend the first Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) 2024 LA Homeownership Think Tank Roundtable scheduled to take place on February 28th, 2024.

The LA Homeownership Think Tank Roundtable brings together federal, state, and local government representatives, affordable housing developers, financial institutions, and public/private partners. This gathering will facilitate crucial conversations to further define and mobilize the objectives and phases of six affordable housing workstreams.

Some of the topics that will be discussed during the Roundtable are: increasing the supply of new affordable housing units, building vehicles that provide financing and investment by the financial industry for housing production, housing counseling opportunities in rural and small communities, developing credit building vehicles used to improve credit reporting/credit scoring for minority communities, and increasing access to funds for down payment and closing costs.

Our presence and active participation in these discussions would be highly valuable as we collectively work towards defining strategies and mobilizing efforts to address the housing challenges faced by our communities.
