HB808 is now Act 177! This is a huge win in stopping stigma, listening to science, and communicating that HIV IS NOT A CRIME.

HB808—a bill that updates Louisiana's outdated HIV law to reflect modern medical science and ensure people are only prosecuted when there is clear intent and a real likelihood of transmission of HIV

We could not have achieved this victory without the collective efforts of our bill sponsor, Rep. Wayne McMahen and the solidarity of our community partners. Thank you for your commitment and continued support of our mission to fight for legislative reform that better protects the dignity and freedoms of people living with HIV!

Thank you to everyone who donated or took part in our annual Geaux Get Ready hurricane prep party!

Climate disasters impact families, children, and birthing people in the short-term and long-term with issues like food scarcity, loss of access to health services and contraception, and increased gender-based violence. It’s up to us to keep each other safe and supported.

❗TOMORROW❗Join our friends at Power Coalition and VOTE at the Capitol tomorrow morning and pack the halls in all black. 🖤🖤🖤

Black Louisianans deserve fair representation.

On Thursday, the Louisiana House will take up SB 121 — a congressional map bill that could shape political power and representation across our state for years to come. We need the Capitol FULL and our voices heard.

🖤 Wear black
📍 Meet us in the Capitol Rotunda
⏰ Thursday, May 28 at 8:30 AM
🏛️ House Floor Debate begins at 9:00 AM

We cannot afford empty halls while decisions about our communities are being made inside the Capitol. Bring your people. Bring your energy. Bring your voice.

History is watching what Louisiana does next.
