We want to touch base with everyone to give a little more detailed information on ForDat! Festival that will happening on Saturday June 21st.
From 10-1 We wanted to reach out to our kids in the community and get their hands dirty learning a bit about growing the food we eat. When they come out to C.R.I.S.P. Farms between 10a-1p they are actually going to “work” to help the community.
C.R.I.S.P. Farms mission is for “Community Research Into Sustainable Permaculture Using recycled and donated materials, we strive to create an environment of education and experimentation for the local community. We provide organic produce as it becomes available, rain barrels, as well as seedlings and starts for neighboring gardeners.”
And the reward for the kid’s effort (aside from getting hands dirty) will be with coupons for free food, treats and drinks with local venders.
Between 3-5p- We’re going to have Captain Planet Co-hosting our Contests beginning at 3pm with our Hula Hooping contest, followed by a Free Throw and Crazy Eating Contest. We will have sign up sheets available at the Water & Beer tent all morning. Everyone can also sign up to be in our “Bywater’s got Talent” talent show which will be held at between 4-4:30p
Then we are going to bring in the nightfall (5-9p) with entertainment for everyone. With more coming on everyday!
