Bayou St. John weaves through the heart of New Orleans — connecting neighborhoods, shaping history, and inspiring community. 🌿✨ Friends of Bayou St. John was founded to protect and celebrate this incredible natural and cultural resource.

You may know us from Bayou Boogaloo — our signature festival that started in 2006 to lift up local artists and businesses after Hurricane Katrina. Today, it’s a citywide celebration of community, culture, and creativity. 🎶🎨

But we’re more than just Bayou Boogaloo! Year-round, we host litter cleanups, remove invasive species, offer environmental education, and throw community events that keep the spirit of the Bayou alive. 💚

Early giving for is now open, if you can please join us in loving the Bayou year-round ➡️ https://www.givenola.org/organization/friends-of-bayou-stjohn

PS: Don't miss our 3rd Annual Give Nola Day Crawfish Eating Contest & Boil on May Tuesday May 6!! 🦞🎉

Help us help Friends of Bayou St. John reach their goal. Proceeds help support cleanups of the bayou and native plantings to keep our ancient waterway safe, clean and beautiful.

Help us reach our goal of $5,000 today! We only need 250 people at $20 each to hit the goal. A recurring donation of $20/month really moves the needle. Whatever you can do, we appreciate it!
