Now we return to some regularly scheduled nonsense - who wants to play guess that species???

Guess the species in the comments of that photo (it will be easier on Facebook) and each new post will be slightly more zoomed out - so let’s see how well you know your species!

While we wrap up posts for National Zoo Keeper Week - we want to thank you all!
While we may not have the same title of Zoo Keeper and our day to day may look different from one another - we are all passionate about what we do! We are constantly working to provide the best animal welfare for our animals, working to advocate for their wild counterparts, providing educational moments for the variety of guests we interact with (whether it’s daily or not), and we do it all while trying to take care of ourselves. It’s important to remember that we can’t be the best for our animals and guests if we are not the best for ourselves also! So remember to take a break this week, catch your breath, DRINK SOME WATER!, and take care of yourselves!

Last but most certainly not least - we head out to the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center to feature our Rangers! These keepers are not only caring for their animals, but educating the public about Louisiana species, while also maintaining their beautiful trails!
