New Orleans Women & Children's Shelter In fact, two-thirds of the people we serve are children and our services go much deeper than shelter and meals.

The New Orleans Women & Children's Shelter is a transitional homeless shelter for families and expectant mothers which provides intensive case management services to help them become stable. The largest shelter for homeless families in the metro area, New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter has served more than 3000 women, men and children since 2007. An average of 80-85% of the families we've helped have transitioned to sustainable, independent living. Ways to Support Our Work (we can't do it without you):

💜 A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE NATIONAL WWII MUSEUM TEAM! 💜

We are incredibly grateful to the employees, staff, and friends of The National WWII Museum for their generosity and commitment to supporting families in our community.

Their recent donation drive brought in much-needed items for our family rooms at New Orleans Women & Children's Shelter , helping us create welcoming, comfortable spaces for the parents and children we serve.

Every item donated helps us support more families as they work toward stability, independence, and a brighter future. It’s community partnerships like this that remind our families that they are surrounded by people who truly care.

To everyone at The National WWII Museum who donated, organized, shared, and supported this drive: THANK YOU for showing up for our families and for our community. 💜
Your generosity makes a difference, one family at a time.

Growth happens when a community believes in your mission.

A huge thank you to Open Horizon for sponsoring the new mini kitchenette in our multipurpose building, which is currently undergoing renovations as part of the continued growth of New Orleans Women & Children's Shelter.

This is more than a kitchenette. It is another piece of a larger vision to create spaces that better serve the women and children who come through our doors.

Partners like Open Horizon make that growth possible. Every room, space, and improvement supported through our Facility Campaign helps us strengthen the services we provide and continue responding to the needs of our community.

Thank you, Open Horizon, for investing in our mission and helping us build what comes next.
