The Spur Change Project

The Spur Change Project A NOLA based community organization for homelessness. Homelessness is a big issue around the globe, but we have to start somewhere.

The ultimate purpose for this organization is to raise awareness of the issues regarding homelessness, starting with where we call home, New Orleans, Louisiana. The Spur Change Project provides many outlets to give back to the community through taking an initiative and acting on the issues of homelessness that is evident around us. Furthermore, this organization brings to light the devastating impacts of homelessness through the personal stories and experiences of those we meet.

OUR OUTREACH DAY WAS SUCCESSFUL!!!!! Thank you for the donations from those that have donated. Thank you to the volunteers that helped package the food. Thank you to the volunteers that helped distribute the food. Today was not only a beautiful day because the weather was nice; it was beautiful because we got the chance to provide meals and water to 150 homeless people. When talking to one man, who didn't want to be seen but named Mr. Jefferson, he mentioned God has a plan for him and he's being patient because this is a stepping stone for him. He also mentioned how its getting colder and possibly being able to provide hats and gloves will help also. With this being said, TSCP board will look into how we can hold a drive and give the hats, gloves, blankets, etc. away on top of the sandwiches. Thanks again everyone! See ya Next month!!

Hey everyone!!!!! It's that time of year again!!! The Spur Change Project (TSCP) is having it's first meal prep day Friday, September 21 and outreach day Saturday, September 22 of the school year. If you would like to make donations ( i.e. gallon bags, water, feminine products, money, sandwich bags, etc.) anything helps. We thank and appreciate those who have donated in the past; as well as those who helped make the lunches and passed the lunches out.
