Today we celebrate the community that makes our work possible. In Louisiana, ISLA is on the frontlines of an uphill battle— with ICE detention expanding, due process violations in immigration courts, the near elimination of bond, and legislative attacks at the state and federal levels.

But we are not deterred. We’re expanding our programming with our Habeas Project to fight unlawful detention and our Court Watch program documenting due process violations.

Help us build momentum by donating today. Our small but mighty ISLA team is on the frontlines of fighting for immigrant justice in the face of flagrant abuses of power by Trump and ICE. Each dollar of your donation will go toward:

1️⃣ The core of our work: representing people detained by ICE in the Gulf Coast under a universal representation model– we take any case, not just the ones that have the best chance of winning

2️⃣ Fighting back against prolonged and unlawful detentions through our new Habeas Project

3️⃣ Working to increase oversight and document due process violations in detained immigration courts through our volunteer-powered Court Watch Program

4️⃣ Building our capacity as a hub for immigration legal expertise– to our communities during immigration crackdowns like the recent Catahola Crunch, and as plaintiffs in impact litigation across the country
