The thoughts of the New Orleans Women Artists Collective / Sankore' Trades and Arts are with Kathe, his family and the River Road African American Museum. He has left many monuments to his vision, that are living on.

On the evening of Wednesday, October 8, 2014, Harold Hambrick, Jr. walked into the light and into the arms of his mother and father.  After 71 years of traversing the hills and valleys of life, he reached his final destination where he is resting peacefully in his new home.

Dear Friend,

We'll make this brief: You have ONE day left to donate to the New Orleans Women Artists Collective (NOWAC) and our Sankore' Trades & Arts, if you want to claim it on your 2013 taxes.

Thanks to all of you for your support and contributions that have enabled us to come so far, over the last 8 years. With your help we have touched the lives of hundreds of residents of New Orleans, from rebuilding homes to introducing programs for both youth and adults. And we will continue to do so. We're constantly improving, looking towards the future, and striving to develop innovative new programs for the community and for the youth of New Orleans, including most recently a STEM program for "Girls Code".

And just this year, Sankoré Trades and Arts was privileged to take on the restoration and and development of the historic Treme' Community Garden

Our biggest upcoming program, still under development and fund-raising, will be the Youth Build New Orleans Green Initiative, to bring opportunities and training to at-risk youth, in the building trades and STEM areas.

Your holiday gift will allow NOWAC/Sankore' to continue to provide these programs and services to community organizations that would otherwise not have access to them. We hope you will consider bridging these gaps.
