Last week, AAC and National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures gathered in Los Angeles for an evening of conversation, relationship-building, and joy. From new introductions and shared experiences to thoughtful discussions, the gathering was a reminder that strong cultural ecosystems are built through community.

A special thank you to AAC Board Members Alyssa M. Garcia and Deliasofia Zacarias, NALAC President & CEO Mari Hernandez, and everyone who joined us to make the evening so meaningful. We’re also grateful to Lucy Thompson and Pez Cantina for sharing local flavors and chili powder tastings, making the gathering feel more special.

As we continue navigating a rapidly changing arts landscape, opportunities to connect remain more important than ever. Thank you to all who joined us.

As we prepare for Friday's "Rewriting the Script: Arts, Media Narratives, and Democratic Belonging," we're deeply grateful for the incredible community partners helping amplify this timely conversation and extend its reach across sectors, disciplines, and communities.

Together with the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), we're bringing artists, filmmakers, educators, journalists, and cultural leaders into dialogue about storytelling, representation, solidarity, and democratic belonging. We're honored to be joined by partners who understand that the stories we tell shape how we see one another and what futures become possible.

Tri-State area - don't miss this event!

10 moments from 10 years. ✨ A decade of AAC is a decade of people showing up. Showing up for one another. Showing up to build something that many of us wished existed when we were starting our careers.

Over the last 10 years, that commitment has helped create affinity spaces, professional development opportunities, mentorship, networking, and a national community for arts administrators of color.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also thinking about what it takes to sustain this work. This work doesn't happen on its own. It requires resources, care, and collective investment.

That's why we've launched our 10-Year Anniversary Capital Campaign with a goal of raising $10,000 by July 1.

Every gift helps ensure we can continue serving and supporting arts administrators of color for years to come. If AAC has ever impacted your journey, or if you believe in the future we're building together, consider making a contribution to keep us going.

Help us reach our goal. https://www.aacnetwork.org/invest

For years, AAC has grown through the care, labor, and belief of people who knew our communities deserved spaces to gather, connect, and lead. Every convening, affinity space, workshop, and moment of connection is possible because people choose to invest in this work.

As we celebrate 10 years of AAC, we’re asking our community to help sustain what comes next. Your gift helps us continue building spaces where arts workers of color can find support, resources, and most importantly - each other.
