We have a permit in for 10/26/24 but unless anyone wants to have an afternoon tumble... "There will be restrictions put in place from October 25, 2024 through October 27, 2024, for the Taylor Swift concert. Any events ( mini parades, etc.) not pertaining to the Taylor Swift production will have to be completed by 3:00pm. Any events that are not pertaining to the Taylor Swift Production will not be allowed to take place inside of the designated “box” on the forementioned dates/times. The “ box” area is from Canal St. to Esplanade St and from Rampart St to N. Peters/Decatur.

Greetings 6t'9ers!
A quick post to let y'all know there are going to be a *lot* of opportunities for Social Aid as we are going to be helping get the House of Dance & Feathers ready for a grand reopening on July 17, 2023!
There will of course also be a lot of opportunities for pleasure so please save October 28, 2022, 9t'6 days from now, for the annual 6t'9 Pumpkin Parade and February 14, 2023 for 6t'9 Valentine!
Please let us know if you wish to join Fi Yi Yi, Her Royal Heinie & the Pony Girls in helping make the magic happen, and we are going to go look at what we need to do to get the float for Northside Skull & Bones street-ready on Tuesday night.

The 6t'9 Social Aid & Pleasure Club honored Ms. Marian Colbert in our 2016 club revival: "6t'9 Lives". We are saddened to have to share the news that Ms. Marian passed away yesterday and fortunate to have been able to honor her while she was alive.

R.I.P Queen of the Banana Tree!

Marion Colbert, a Tremé-neighborhood sage known as the Queen of the Banana Tree, died on Saturday at her home on Henriette Delille Street. She was 93 years old.
