This year, GiveNOLA Day is Tuesday, June 2nd! Sponsored by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day is the community’s one-day, online giving event to inspire people to give generously to the nonprofit organizations who make our region a stronger and thriving community for all.

Especially during these difficult times, we understand that financial situations may have changed since last year's GiveNOLA Day. Every dollar donated from 12:00am to 11:59pm on June 2nd will be increased with additional “lagniappe” dollars provided by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and our generous GiveNOLA Day sponsors.

In addition, there is a Rock Around the Clock Prize of $1000. Any non-profit receiving at least one unique donation of $10 or more in an hour is eligible for the drawing.

We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Dr. Jack Perry Strong. Not only was he an original founder of the garden and former President, but Dr. Strong was indeed its most enthusiastic supporter.

However his leadership and contributions were not limited to JGF. The link below details a life filled with scholarly success, service to others, and scientific breakthroughs. Dr. Strong leaves behind countless people who were impacted by his work and warm heart. On behalf of JGF our sincere condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues. Thank you Dr. Strong. You will be missed by many.

Taylor Williams
President JGF
