Right to Information & Notice: Receive timely updates on case proceedings, court dates, plea bargains, and the arrest or release of the accused.
Right to be Heard: Present a victim impact statement or speak at public hearings regarding sentencing, plea, or parole.
Right to Protection: Seek reasonable protection from the accused and access secure waiting areas away from the defendant during court.
Right to Restitution: Request full financial restitution and apply for crime victim compensation funds.
Right to Proceedings Without Delay: Expect a reasonably prompt conclusion to the case.
