At the Women’s Foundation of the South, we understand health, wealth, and power as deeply interconnected — and for too many women, those three are profoundly shaped by systems of criminalization and incarceration long after release.
This week’s Transformative Grantee, Operation Restoration, works at that intersection. Their programs support women as they return home from incarceration, helping them access education, employment pathways, and essential resources that support stability and well-being. But their work does not stop at individual support — it extends into advocacy and systems change, ensuring that the voices of directly impacted women are centered in conversations about policy and opportunity.
