Our Back-to-School Shoe Drive was a tremendous success! 💙👟

Because of the incredible support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community partners, together we were able to make a meaningful impact:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 285+ families served
đź‘ź 600+ pairs of brand-new tennis shoes distributed
đź“š Hundreds of students are now ready to step into the new school year with confidence.

Today, we went to Milano Shoes on Claiborne to pick up even more tennis shoes for our upcoming Back-to-School Shoe Drive!!🔥👟🎉

Reminder for Registered Families:
• Registration is required (registration is now closed).
• Parent or legal guardian must present a valid photo ID.
• All registered children must be present.
• Maximum of 3 children per household.

We can’t wait to serve our families on Tuesday from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM at Operation Restoration’s Closet, 3400 S. Claiborne Ave.!

Yesterday, our team visited several stores to provide essential items like uniforms and/or shoes for students whose parents are currently incarcerated at the Orleans Justice Center (OJC) and the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women (LCIW).

We’re excited to distribute this during our Back-to-School Shoe Drive, helping students start the school year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to succeed. 👟✨

📢 Office Closure Notice

Please note that Operation Restoration’s Office and Closet will close at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 3, as our team prepares for our “Let’s Walk Into Purpose” Back-to-School Shoe Drive.

We will remain closed on Tuesday, August 4, for the event and will reopen on Wednesday, August 5, during our normal operating hours.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we prepare to serve local students and families. We look forward to resuming regular operations on Wednesday!
