Across New Orleans, ReStory US partner Robert Jones is working to transform his pain into action for the community
In 1992, Robert was arrested for a crime that he did not commit, and spent 23.5 years behind bars.
After his exoneration-Robert and Jerome, another wrongfully incarcerated man, founded Freed’em Foundation, a youth-focused nonprofit committed to building stronger communities and supporting young people during the critical transition from childhood to adulthood.
The organization has made a tremendous impact across New Orleans—providing mentoring, skills training, school presentations, workshops, and community events, while partnering with local organizations to support youth and advocate for change.
If you have traveled on a ReStory US trip with Telos, you likely met Robert. His story and work has deeply shaped Telos throughout our years of partnership.
As we close out the year, consider supporting Telos and our partners. Your donations sustain our work of relationship building, immersive travel, and local community engagement.
