Just came across this sign again while out In a neighborhood near ancient Indian Chickasaw ceremonial and burial mounds. It’s such a beautiful unexpected and true sign. Have some evening thoughts about that … Jessie Mae was part Chickasaw Indian and her grandfather Sid Hemphill. They embraced their heritage and identity to the Indian tribe.

The new better bigger photo of Jessie has been installed! With gratitude! Credit the Blues Rules Crissier Festival (Switzerland) and also David Evans who met me the last portion to make this beautiful 5x7 happen! And honestly, it’s even better !

We have come together as a family. We have Alan Lomax archives here, we have amazing photos and archives from our outstaring friends, and everyone that loves Jessie and this community! You are so many and you are loved and appreciated. Here is the new photo with a rainbow 🌈 right accross her bow:

Updates!! Look what arrived today — a 5x7 of the original photo that was originally on the headstone and decided by the family that they wanted the same. And it’s gonna be bigger!! It will installed in the next week. So many thank you to so many! Once installed, update will appear and thank you appropriate to our friends who helped. What a joyous piece to arrive. 🙏🏼🕯️thanks be to God. Thank all y’all who love Jessie so much and care for her memory!
