The Paragon Foundation for Girls Helping young women of color become their very best selves both personally and professionally! 💎✨

We believe that the greatest gift we can give the next generation is our wisdom! The Paragon Foundation teaches young women of color life and business skills. We share knowledge, wisdom, and resources to aid in creating a firm foundation for their personal and business success. Our goal is to help young women of color create sustainable futures and to become "paragons" of business and community.

STRONGER TOGETHER. SAFER TOGETHER. đź’ś

Our girls were back in action for Self-Defense II, building on the skills they learned this summer and putting them into practice! 🥋✨

This session kicked off our Fall Monthly Enrichment Sessions, and we couldn’t be prouder of the confidence, focus, and determination they brought into the room.

Special thank you Third Gate Defense for the thorough instruction as always! 🙌🏽

đź‘‘ Just a few days until CROWNED 2026.

This Sunday, we will celebrate Trinity’s journey, accomplishments, and the bright future that awaits her as she takes her place among our CROWNED Paragons.

CROWNED is more than a luncheon—it’s a celebration of identity, purpose, and the village of women who help young women become their very best selves.

By invitation only. Women only. A safe space to honor, uplift, and affirm the next generation.

Beyoncé has social media debating after comments about financial independence resurfaced online. The superstar argued that women should have their own money because financial control often shapes who holds the power in a relationship.

Her remarks sparked strong reactions from both sides. Supporters agreed that financial independence provides freedom, security, and the ability to make decisions without feeling trapped by someone else's resources. They argued that having your own income doesn't make relationships less romantic—it simply creates more balance.

Others pushed back, saying relationships shouldn't be viewed through the lens of power at all. They believe successful partnerships are built on trust, teamwork, and shared goals rather than financial leverage. Some even argued that focusing too heavily on independence can make it harder for couples to truly build together.

The conversation quickly turned into a broader debate about modern relationships and whether financial dependence naturally creates unequal dynamics.

Does having your own money make relationships healthier, or can couples successfully build a balanced relationship even when one person earns significantly more?

Meet Thessalonika Arzu-Embry, the definition of academic acceleration. With a reported IQ of 199, she graduated high school at 11, earned her bachelor's degree at 14, completed an MBA at 16, and finished her PhD at 17. But here's what makes her story truly remarkable: the IQ was just the starting line.

While her natural intelligence opened doors, it was her relentless drive and insatiable curiosity that kept her moving through them. She didn't stop at degrees either. Thessalonika became a published author and earned her pilot's license, proving that exceptional talent finds multiple outlets when paired with genuine ambition and work ethic.

Her timeline reads like science fiction, but it's a real reminder that age is often just a number we use to limit ourselves. While most teens are figuring out college applications, she was already reshaping what's possible when you refuse to let \""too young\"" define your ceiling. This isn't just a prodigy story meant to amaze us. It's a blueprint for any young person told to wait their turn or slow down their dreams. Sometimes the most extraordinary thing you can do is treat time like the flexible resource it actually is.

HELP US SEND A PARAGON SCHOLAR TO SPELMAN! đź’ś

We are beyond proud to celebrate one of our Paragon Foundation for Girls students on her acceptance into Spelman College’s prestigious Early College Program!

From academic achievement and leadership to community service and athletic excellence, she continues to embody what it means to lead with purpose and determination.

This summer opportunity is a major step toward her future — and we believe that when a young woman is doing the work, striving for excellence, and creating opportunities for herself, finances should never be the reason she cannot walk through the door.

The Paragon Foundation for Girls proudly contributed $250 toward her journey, and we are asking our community to help us MATCH our donation as we work toward her $4,500 goal.

She has already raised over $2,000, and every contribution helps move her one step closer to Spelman this summer.

Together, we can invest in the next generation of Black women leaders. đź’ś

Taxes & Tea… the Paragon way. 💼✨

For our April Monthly Enrichment, we curated an intentional experience—hot tea, sweet treats, and a powerful lesson in financial literacy. 🫖🗂️

Ms. Monique led our girls through the essentials of taxes, breaking down W-2s, 1099s, and foundational concepts they’ll carry with them for life. And yes… the girls thoroughly enjoyed their tea while getting to the money. 💎

At Paragon Foundation, we believe exposure should feel elevated. We’re not just teaching—we’re shaping how our girls experience growth, knowledge, and self-worth.

Because understanding money is a form of self-respect… and our girls will always be well-versed.

Thank you, Ms. Monique, for pouring into the next generation of leaders. ✨
