Saul's Light was honored to be selected as a 2026 Geaux Far Week Community Champion () during Geaux Far Week at New Orleans on October 1st. We were elated to be celebrated for our dedication and impact on early childhood in Louisiana.

A Geaux Far Community champion is an organization making meaningful contributions to children and families in their own communities that align with the pillars of Geaux Far, including:

A Net That Works - All families have access to an inclusive, caring, well-coordinated network that helps them meet their basic needs and support child development.

A Healthy Start - All families receive family-centered, comprehensive, whole-person physical and mental health care from pregnancy, through the early childhood years, and beyond.

🕯️ On October 15, we light a candle for the babies we carry in our hearts but cannot hold in our arms.

The Wave of Light is a global observance held each year on October 15 during . At 7 p.m. local time, families and communities around the world light candles in remembrance, creating a continuous wave of light across time zones.

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, whether you light a candle at home or simply pause to remember, your baby matters. Your grief matters. Your love matters.

Tonight, we remember the babies who left footprints on our hearts and stand alongside every family navigating life after loss.

No one is going to tell you it will all be okay. And honestly, you wouldn't believe them if they did.

These moms already know that this road has no guarantees. That there will be setbacks and some days will break you open in ways you never expected. That the fear doesn't just disappear because someone tells you to stay positive.

But here is what is also true.
There will be joy. It will find you in the smallest moments, in a weight gain, in a sound, in a first.

Tiny Footprints, Big Love does not promise to make this experience easier. It promises company. Letters from mothers who walked this road honestly, who held the hard and the beautiful at the same time, and who want you to know that both can exist together.

You do not have to choose between grief and gratitude. You are allowed to feel all of it.
