Bastion was so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our new Veteran Wellness Center with ConnectLA and some of the other impactful individuals who made this historic project possible! As we honor ten years since the groundbreaking of our residential community, we'll be celebrating this milestone all year through different events, ceremonies, and new wellness offerings.
ConnectLA works tirelessly to ensure all Louisiana residents have access to high speed internet. Access to reliable wifi is critical for virtual doctor appointments, remote work and schooling, and at-home resource navigation. Thanks to ConnectLA, we're getting closer every day to completely eliminating the digital divide in Louisiana by implementing statewide access to high speed internet. This means more residents of rural Louisiana will be connected to the providers, resources, and information they need to thrive, all from the comfort of their home.
Thank you to the city, state, and veteran community leaders who joined us to acknowledge ConnectLA's support of this project. ConnectLA helped Bastion fund important elements of our new building, including back up solar panels which will charge batteries that can be used to power the building during outages, turning this Veteran Wellness Center into a community lighthouse for the whole neighborhood.
