Meet Huxley!!!!

This new addition to the CGDR is ready for the World Cup, and is looking for his "fur-ever" home. This boy is currently 45 pounds of pure love! Huxley is a 6-month old male doberman, who believes the world is his oyster. Currently in foster, Huxley is thriving. He is kennel trained (although he will sing the blues if his people are in the house—but knows bedtime and doesn’t sing then), 99% potty trained (if you watch his clues) and has started obedience training. He can sit, walk on a lead and come when called (most of the time). He has been to the dog park, and gets along with other dogs (he has not been tested with cats). He is a wonderful car rider, who settles in and takes a nap no matter the duration of the trip. He is a unicorn among Dobermans…he will go out and potty in the rain AND walk on wet grass without hesitation!!! Huxley is waiting for his forever home!!!

Meet Tre', an 11 month-old, very large Doberman puppy. He is what we call over-sized, meaning he will likely be larger than the breed standard. His ears were cropped, but his previous owner didn't follow through with the after-care. As a result, he is what we call cropped and flopped. It doesn't take away an ounce of his adorable good looks! Tre' is negative for heart-worms, neutered, and is up-to-date on all shots. He is crate-trained and working on house training. Tre' is a super sweet boy, but because of his large size and his youth, he would not be suitable for a home with small children. We are seeking an active home for him with a human who will be devoted to molding him into best we know he can be. We're talking training here. Tre' will be in obedience training with one of our volunteers while he waits for his forever home. However, this boy is ready to walk out the door as soon as his perfect home comes along!!

Meet Harper! Harper came from a backyard breeder situation. Law enforcement freed her from a life of cranking out puppies to be sold. While being starved and severely mistreated, she had puppies, and developed heartworms. Sometime during this reign of terror, her leg was broken. She did not go to the Vet for treatment - it healed on its own, and she adapted to the break. All of this happened, and she is only two years old!

Harper is thriving in her foster home. She is house and kennel trained. She knows basic obedience. She is OK with cats, children and dogs. Harper is affectionate, smart, alert and cautious. She is a natural watchdog. She has bonded with her foster Mom, and will be looking for that same type of bond in her forever home.

Bottom line, Harper is a wonderful girl that had a terrible start in life. Her abuser was male, and she is extremely afraid of men. If Harper could talk, she would say that she would do best in a home with no adult males. A woman with patience and love to give would be perfect. Harper is more than just a pretty dog with cropped ears, she is a gentle soul that experienced the worst of humans. It impacted her confidence and trust. We are looking for a woman that would like to help Harper continue to find her inner Doberman. Harper is a diamond in the rough. She will be a perfect dog for the right person. She is up to date on everything, and heartworm free.

**ADOPTED**

Meet Ari, a super sweet 1.5 year-old doberman, who loves dogs of all sizes! He’s playful, affectionate, and listens well. He gets along great with both people and other dogs. He enjoys going on walks, does great for baths, and is crate trained. Ari already knows basic commands like sit and shake, such a smart boy! He is neutered, but is heartworm positive. He is currently in the early stages of his treatment, and will be available for adoption upon completion. Ari is full of love and personality, and would make an amazing companion for the right family.

***ADOPTED***

Meet Hank, our 11-month old "almost" doberman puppy. As a mixed breed, we don't think he is going to get super big - probably about the size of a female Doberman. He the perfect size and every ounce is filled with awesomeness. Although he's happy in his foster home, he can't wait to find his forever home. He's healthy, neutered, and on heartworm preventative. He knows sit, stay and will shake your hand. He is house broken, and he loves rubs and to snuggle. He's good with other dogs AND cats and of course loves to play. This once thrown away puppy was plucked up by GCDR and his foster family has polished him into a perfect boy. This is your chance to get a puppy that already has some manners on board.

**ADOPTED**

Meet Luna! Luna is an 8-year-old red Doberman beauty with a docked tail, natural ears, and the sweetest personality you could hope for. She’s spayed, heartworm negative, kennel trained, and knows some basic obedience — the perfect mix of playful and well-mannered. Don’t let her age fool you — Luna has plenty of s***k! She’s also a little on the “extra love” side (a bit chunky!) but that just makes her cuddle game even stronger. When playtime is over, Luna loves to curl up for naps, suck on her favorite blanket, and be the ultimate snuggle buddy. She’s as down for play as she is for relaxation, making her a wonderful companion for just about any household. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, affectionate girl to fill your days with joy (and your couch with snuggles), Luna is waiting to meet you!
