New Orleans can’t build a strong future with falling wages. City Workers work so hard however, they are being paid so little that they can’t afford the basics—like groceries, rent, or transportation — and that reduces purchasing power in our neighborhoods. Boosting pay for City of New Orleans lowest paid employees will put money into the hands of working moms and dads, so they can put more money back into our community and create more good jobs. By sticking together, people in the Fight for $15 movement are making change happen and are getting heard. Help us, by standing up for jobs that give city workers and their families a fair shot at a secure future in the city that they help to build.

Politicians who want the votes of working people need to get on board and think bigger about what it means for Louisiana working families to have a voice in this state.

This Labor Day, workers in Louisiana have an uncompromising demand for every candidate running in the 2019 elections: Unions for All. That means that everyone has the opportunity to join

The federal minimum wage has remained $7.25 per hour since 2009. But several states, and even some companies, have since taken matters into their own hands to pay employees a more livable wage.

The Fight for $15 and a union isn't just the fight for us, it's the fight for our children's lives, and their children's lives, and we want to thank Whole Foods for standing with us.
