Tomorrow, on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) crews will perform a water valve closure to facilitate repairs to a water main. The water disruption is expected to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16

The expected impacted areas include:
• Magazine St. from Leontine St. to Soniat St.
• Leontine St. from Camp St. to Constance St.
• Camp St. from Leontine St. to Soniat St.

Gauges will be placed and monitored by a SWBNO crew during the water valve closure. The procedure will be stopped, and the closure opened immediately if there are any unacceptable pressure losses during the closure.

If you are outside of the expected impact area and experience low or no water pressure to report a water or sewer emergency anytime – call (504) 52-WATER, choose your language option and press 1 for emergency.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your water system.

Faubourg Avart Neighborhood Association General Meeting -- May 24

The Faubourg Avart Neighborhood Association (FANA) will hold a General Meeting on Wednesday, May 24 at 7 pm at Costera, 4938 Prytania Street. Representatives from the offices of Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Councilwoman Lesli Harris and Neighborhood Engagement, as well as the New Orleans Police Department, will be on hand to discuss the latest happenings in the city and answer any questions you might have. We will have delicious snacks provided by Costera and a cash bar at the meeting.

We invite all of our neighbors to the meeting and encourage anyone who is not already a member of FANA to please join prior to or at the meeting so that we can continue to hold events such as Night Out Against Crime, Halloween on Soniat, Porch Concerts, the Holiday Party and more!

HALLOWEEN ON SONIAT

Hi Neighbors!
I just wanted to remind you about our annual event on Halloween night! Please plan to bring your kids trick-or-treating on Soniat Street and throughout Faubourg Avart, if you live in walking distance! Or if you live in Faubourg Avart and you're at home, please turn on your lights and hand out candy! We have lots of kids come through the neighborhood each year, and Halloween on Soniat isn't a success without your help! Thanks so much!
