Join us for a community workshop where you’ll learn how to insulate your window AC unit, led by our community resilience coordinator! These simple, low-cost techniques can help improve energy efficiency, keep cool air where it belongs, and reduce strain on your air conditioner during the hottest months of the year.

The first 10 people to register will receive free supplies to participate in the demonstration. Additional attendees are welcome to come learn and take home the knowledge.

This workshop is donation-based, and nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Because everyone deserves a cool, comfortable home.

Back-to-School Assistance Application Now Open

Thanks to multiple donors, Below Sea Level Aid is providing school supplies and school uniforms for low-income families in New Orleans and surrounding parishes.

Applications are now open and must be submitted by July 1st.

Please note:
Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. Due to limited funding and supplies, we are not able to serve every household. Selected families will be contacted in July, and all approved supplies will be delivered directly to families.

We encourage all families in need to apply as early as possible.

We’re doing a little differently this year…

Unfortunately, the new GiveNolaDay platform wasn’t very fiscally sponsored friendly for us. BUT we’re still raising funds for this GiveNolaDay to help us fulfill our usual mutual aid requests.

Every month, we make the hard decisions of whose mutual aid request to fulfill. We triage and try to help as many people as possible, but we want to do more.

Help us meet our goal of $1,500 which will cover HALF of the usual monthly costs for our mutual aid program. The biggest thank you to everyone who has ever shared, liked, commented, and donated. YOU make this work possible.
