GBJ's Safety & Awareness Foundation Inc GBJ'S Safety & Awareness Inc is dedicated to my beloved brother Gary Bailey, Jr. due to drowning along a river which is called Bogue Chitto.

On Saturday, June 26, 2010...My family and I lost a very important piece to our family puzzle...My dear brother, Gary Bailey, Jr. He was thirty-two years of age eleven months and twenty-six days when he passed...He would have been celebrating a birthday that Monday, June 28, 2010 in which he would have been thirty-three years of age...However, My brother did not get to see that day, He and his fam

ily was tubing along the river that morning and my brother drowned that day in that river; he would not return that evening. Gary was always a hero for others; however, that day he was unable to save himself...I regret many things about that day; but of all, I regret the fact that my brother did not have on a LIFE JACKET!!! I truly believe if he would have worn a LIFE JACKET, his life would've been saved and we would have been able to celebrate his thirty third birthday with him! Therefore, this site has been set up in his honor and also to bring awareness to those that are still with us today...We need to alert our communities, schools, churches, colleges, centers;etc. On the same note, my brother was not the only person that lost his life(by drowning) that week...there were about three others that lost their lives(in the same River, I might add). So, I urge you to join forces with my family, dedicated members, volunteers, supporters and I and help us spread this message of warning, awareness and Safety...Sincerely, Garenita "Nita" Bailey (Gary's lil sister)!
