We held our first Common Ground Speaker Series event on Thursday, April 4 with education champions Caroline Roemer and Ann Duplessis where we explored the future of school choice in Louisiana. The discussion was moderated by Stephanie Grace, Editorial Director and Columnist for NOLA.com (Times-Picayune/The Advocate).

The Neutral Ground is a non-profit organization formed to embrace and promote the critical importance of healthy discourse and to inspire others by modeling behaviors that reinforce mutual respect and trust.

“I have a dream…” The legacy lives on.

Sixty years ago today, Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington.

Dr. King’s dream was a call to action for social justice and equality.

Today, his daughter Bernice King, CEO of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, continues to fight against injustice through education, training, and advocating for the philosophy of nonviolence.
