EVERYONE SAY HI TO EMILY! She is joining our Board of Directors and we are thrilled to have her!

Emily Leitzinger, MS, CFRE, ACNP is a nonprofit executive with more than 16 years of experience leading fundraising, strategic planning, board development, and organizational growth. She currently serves as Chief Development Officer for HANWASH, Inc., an international nonprofit working to expand sustainable access to clean water and sanitation across Haiti through Rotary partnerships.

Throughout her career, Emily has helped organizations strengthen philanthropy, build meaningful community partnerships, and translate ambitious visions into measurable
impact. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has worked with organizations focused on public health, international development, conservation, housing, and community leadership.

A lifelong advocate for community engagement, Emily currently serves as District Governor for Rotary District 6840, representing more than 2,000 Rotarians across Louisiana and
Mississippi. She is passionate about developing leaders, mentoring volunteers, and connecting people around causes that strengthen communities.

Outside of her professional work, Emily is an enthusiastic supporter of the performing arts and a familiar face in New Orleans theaters. She believes that live theatre enriches
communities by fostering creativity, empathy, and meaningful conversation, and she is
honored to support Fat Squirrel through board service.

Table work day is one of our favorite rehearsals -- it's when the world-building starts; it's when the team begins developing a shared vocabulary; it's when characters step off the page and begin to take three- and four-dimensional shape.

We are so excited to announce some new developments in the remainder of the season!

Our final mainstage production, for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf is now produced in partnership with the LSUNO School of the Arts, and will be directed by Jyna N. Roots.

Performance dates are now Nov 12-21. Check out LSUNO SOTA socials for info on student auditions this Friday. General Auditions will follow in October.

We are very excited, and very grateful.
