It's !!

You may remember a few weeks back we posted about a duo of moms facing their young daughters similar health challenges together through fellowship and rideshares!

Today we want to share a bit more about little Amina's story with you...

Two year old Amina is an accidental drowning survivor. On Memorial Day she made her way to a pool and fell in. Her brother found her and pulled her out and her grandmother began CPR.
Due to oxygen deprivation to her brain, Amina was diagnosed with anoxic brain injury.

The family drove from New York and have been with us at the House for 60 days while Amina is receiving hyperbaric treatments. Her mom Anastasia says, “It has been a blessing as it has allowed treatment for Amina to be possible. It is very nice to be able to come “home” to a prepared meal after a long and sometimes difficult day. Thank you RMHC”.

Members of the Red Shoe Krewe Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana attended Kids and Clays Foundation's and the RMHC Chicago and Northwest Indiana annual Clay Shoot for Charity at the Northbrook Sports Club in Chicago this past weekend!

Thanks to all of those that helped make this event a huge success!

We spent the day in the French Quarter and Bywater spreading the word about all the great things happening at Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana, and even received a few donations in the process!

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana works hard to support families during some of their toughest moments. Thank you to all who support the mission ❤️🏡

Baby Anna was born 2 weeks premature and diagnosed with Supravalvular Aortic Stenosis (narrowing of the Aorta). Being from Lafayette, her parents traveled to Children’s Hospital New Orleans for tests.

Due to SAS, Anna will need open heart surgery before her first birthday. Although her parents stayed with her at the hospital, her grandparents were welcomed into our House and found a clean, comfortable, soft place to land filled with friendly faces that made our House feel like their home.

We’re so glad we could provide respite close to their granddaughter, and we are happy that the time they spent with us was brimming with Southern Hospitality. 💗🍟
