Mental health challenges affect millions of men every year, yet too many continue to suffer in silence due to stigma, shame, or the belief that they have to handle everything on their own.

The reality is:
▪️ 1 in 8 men will experience depression in their lifetime.
▪️ Men account for nearly 80% of su***de deaths in the U.S.
▪️ Reaching out for support is a sign of strength—not weakness.

As social workers, advocates, and community members, we can help create spaces where men feel safe to talk openly about their mental health, seek support, and connect with others.

A harmful new rule from the DOE has officially been finalized — excluding social work from being recognized as a “professional” degree and cutting student loan limits for future social workers nearly in half.
