Candlewoof Community,
We’ve recently had several instances of park rules not being followed, along with concerns being raised in ways that are creating unnecessary frustration and miscommunication.
Candlewoof is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit dog park. Memberships and donations help cover expenses such as insurance, trash service, p**p bags, landscaping, maintenance, supplies, and other operating costs. Membership is a way to help support the continued operation of the park; it is not a guarantee that every maintenance need will be addressed immediately.
Our Board members volunteer their personal time to manage the park, coordinate maintenance, address concerns, and keep Candlewoof available to the community. We ask that everyone keep this in mind and do their part by following the posted rules and treating others respectfully.
All posted rules apply to everyone using the park, including rules regarding food, dog supervision, cleanup, licensing, and appropriate behavior.
Failure to follow posted park rules may result in removal from the park, suspension of park privileges, and/or revocation of membership.
Please direct concerns to the Board at [email protected] rather than discussing them with other park members or bringing them to an individual Board member. Using the Board email ensures concerns are documented, shared with the full Board, and addressed accurately and consistently.
If you witness an incident involving a person or dog, repeated rule violations, or inappropriate behavior, please also complete an incident report through our website or via email.
We want Candlewoof to remain a safe, clean, and enjoyable place for both dogs and people. Please follow the rules, use the proper channels when there is a concern, and remember that the park depends on volunteers and community support to keep it running.
Thank you,
Candlewoof Dog Park Board
