"Members of the community showed up Sunday night to form a new 4th of July Committee with the goal of making sure fireworks happen in 2026. Details will be shared as soon as new leadership is officially in place and a decision has been made on the date of the 2026 show. Those interested in joining the committee as a volunteer can visit this link to provide your information: https://tinyurl.com/July4thVolunteer
The first meeting of the new committee will be held Sunday, April 19 at 7 pm at the Civic Center. All interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend to assist with brainstorming and planning."

"A community forum will be held at the New Madison Civic Center, 218 S Harrison St, on Sunday, April 12 at 7 pm to discuss plans for 4th of July fireworks in New Madison. The 4th of July Committee, a 501c3 in our community, has announced their need for new officers to take over planning for the 2026 show by April 17, and we are committed to providing a space for the community to gather to hear updates, share ideas, and ultimately form a new committee. Volunteers are the foundation of this organization and we invite interested community members from New Madison, Hollansburg, and Palestine to work together to continue this tradition. Our goal is for interested parties to form a replacement committee with plenty of volunteers to do the work necessary to hold an event to celebrate the 250th birthday of our nation. Please join us Sunday evening at the Civic Center."
