🌟 This is Angel, Sophomore at the University of Connecticut, upon returning from a study abroad trip to Peru, Angel got right to work! An Organizational Psychology major Angel interned as a Research Assistant for New London Landmarks through partner organization, Elevate+. He worked alongside Violet Johnson, the Executive Director to execute tasks such as finding historical photos of specific addresses for residents and helping with events. He also took on their social media to create short form content to engage more visitors. Additionally, tackled two larger projects, a brochure for the Black Heritage Trail partner organization, and a video highlighting New London in the modern day. Our students do more than go to class- they are building their futures! Highlighting some students this week who spent their summer gaining hands on experience through internships. 🌟This is Camryn, senior at The University of Connecticut, Management and Engineering for Manufacturing major. Camryn worked with Burns and McDonnell on a project in New Orleans, LA as a construction management intern, helping manage subcontracts in the financial aspect. Higher Edge is proud to support our students through their college goals and beyond!
