⛵️Women’s Sailors of the Week - Weekend of April 4-5 ⛵️
Your NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week are the Roger Williams Hawks for their extraordinary 6-2 record and three way tie for first at Yale Women’s Team Race. This marks a season best for the team as well as a big moment on their season-long climb to becoming one of the top teams in NEISA. The Hawks lineup was comprised of Alexandra Chigas ‘26, Maggie Fleming ‘27, Elyssa Franklin ‘26, Maren Matthews ‘26, Lucy Meager ‘27, Tavia Smith ‘27, and Mackenzie Speece ‘28. The Roger Williams team has also been recognized for their exemplary sportsmanship throughout this season!

Your NEISA Open Sailors of the Week are the Harvard Crimson for their commanding performance at the NEISA Open Team Race Championship for the Fowle Trophy. The team, comprised of Justin Callahan ‘26, Mitchell Callahan ‘26, Christina Chen ‘27, Rosella Irfan ‘27, Robby Meek ‘27, Aidan Pesce ‘26, Jacob Posner ‘29, and Xavier Ayala Vermont ‘27, competed through three rounds with only one loss, ending in a 20-1 record. They bested the top rivals in NEISA, five wins ahead of the 2nd place team, and had guaranteed the championship before the Final-Four round. Congratulations to the Crimson for a commanding conference championship win to culminate what has been a dominant regular team race season!

⛵️Women’s Sailors of the Week - Weekend of March 28-29⛵️
The Brown Bears’ team at the Dellenbaugh Women’s Team Race Trophy have been awarded the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week. The Dellenbaugh has proven to be the most competitive regular season women’s team race, with a field that often mirrors the strength of the national championship.  The Bears put on their best performance of the season, finishing 2nd overall to beat NEISA foe Yale for the first time this year and sailing to a 13-3 record that included a 2-0 record against eventual regatta winners Stanford. The Bears’ team comprised of skippers Laura Hamilton ’27, Katharine Doble ’26, Katherine McNamara ’26, and crews Katherine Majette ’27, Kaitlyn Hamilton ’26, Reese Corckran ’28, Sidney Moyer ’27, and Gabby Collins ’28.

⛵️Open Sailors of the Week - Weekend of March 28-29⛵️
The Dartmouth Big Green team at the Lynn Marchiando Trophy Team Race have been awarded the NEISA Open Sailors of the week. Despite losing their first race of the regatta, the Big Green jumped out to an early lead with a 7-1 record after racing concluded on Saturday. They would eventually go on to a streak of 13 consecutive wins before ultimately losing the final race of the round to Harvard, leaving the two teams tied atop the leaderboard with a 13-2 record and Harvard wining the tiebreak on head-to-head record. Under normal circumstances, the teams would have continued racing in an additional round, giving Dartmouth the opportunity to break the tie or force a 3rd race tiebreaking sail-off. Unfortunately, a mixture of timing constraints and a multi-way tie for 3rd place necessitated an alternative format, sending the Ivy foes home while other teams continued racing. The 2nd place overall finish is Dartmouth’s strongest performance of the season and their first back in NEISA after taking a couple weekends off for winter term exams and a trip to MAISA. Sailing for the Big Green at the Marchiando were skippers Bella Casaretto ’26, Ryan Satterberg ’27, Chase Decker ’28, and crews Lilly Baker ’27, Madeline Koelbel ’26, and Phoebe Lee ’26.
