From nine cadets aboard Dobbin to national champions competing across the country, Coast Guard Athletics has traveled a remarkable path. And the story is not simply about the past.
In 2024–25, Coast Guard recorded a school-record 273.75 points in the Learfield Directors' Cup, the highest total in Academy history, finishing 74th nationally among NCAA Division III institutions.
It came amid a decade of national champions, conference champions, national qualifiers, All-Americans, and extraordinary academic achievement. Coast Guard also won the last 12 Superintendent’s Trophies over archrival Merchant Marine.
One decade. The most successful chapter yet in Coast Guard Athletics history. As we celebrate 150 years of the Academy, perhaps the most exciting part of the Coast Guard Athletics story is this: We honor an extraordinary history while today's cadet-athletes continue to raise the standard.
