We're Hiring! New London Community Breakfast Coordinator

New London Presbyterian Church and New London United Methodist Church are seeking a Community Breakfast Coordinator to help lead our Friday Community Breakfast Program during the school year. This program will be available when students are not in session on Fridays (approximately two Fridays a month).

Experience working with children, schools, youth programs, or volunteers is helpful but not required. Individuals currently serving as New London Community School District associates or paraprofessionals are especially encouraged to apply.

This independent contractor position is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, organizing volunteers, and serving our community. The coordinator will help provide a welcoming place where children can enjoy a nutritious breakfast, build relationships, and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities on New London Community School District professional development Fridays.

Position Details:
🍳 $25.00 per hour
📅 Approximately two Fridays per month during the school year
⏰ About three hours per breakfast event, plus approximately one hour of planning and preparation for each event

Experience working with children, schools, youth programs, or volunteers is helpful but not required. Individuals currently serving as New London Community School District associates or paraprofessionals are especially encouraged to apply.

Tried of cooking? Sign up for our freezer meal party! You’ll walk away with ten meals ready to go for a busy spring! Everyone is welcome—you do not need to be a church member.

Where? NL Presbyterian Church Friendship Hall

When? March 14 at 4:30

Cost? $200 (seems a little expensive, but each meal feeds 4-6 usually with leftovers!)

Why? Fellowship! Time saving! Doing a good deed (the church will donate 20 freezer meals to the Tiger Food Pantry).

Need to bring kids? We’ll have cookies for them to frost for St Paddy’s day and a faith-based movie to enjoy!

What’s on thr menu? Taco soup, lasagna Soup, tortellini and sausage soup, cheddar and ranch burgers, honey garlic chicken, chicken bacon garlic butter stuffed bread, breakfast casserole, pork chops and cheesy potatoes, kid-friendly pizza meatloaf, creamy Italian chicken

Don’t like one of the meal options, no worries! Donate it to the food pantry!

To all in the New London Community and surrounding areas:

Let us help with the cooking!

The New London Presbyterian Church, in partnership with Amy’s Freezy Peasy Meals is hosting a St. Paddy’s–themed Freezer Meal Party on March 14 at 4:30 PM in Friendship Hall—and it’s the perfect way to get ahead before spring activities, ball games, and busy nights take over. You do not have to be a member to participate!

For $200, you’ll head home that evening with 10 crockpot- or oven-ready meals—future dinners officially handled! Even better, the church will be donating 20 freezer meals to the Tiger Food Pantry, and participants are welcome (but not at all required) to donate one or two meals from their own stash as well.

Bringing littles? We’ve got you covered.
While you assemble meals, kids can enjoy a movie and a fun St. Patrick’s Day cookie-decorating activity—because a little green frosting makes everything more festive.

Cook once. Relax later. Help others along the way.
