✨ Cub Scout & Webelos Summer Camp 2026

Get your wands (and hiking boots) ready! Registration is officially open for the most magical event of the summer: Cubcraft and Wizardry at Camp Barnhardt!

From July 11th – 14th, our Cub Scouts and Webelos will step into a world of enchantment where the Great Outdoors meets the Wizarding World. Whether they are brewing "potions" in crafts or hitting a bullseye on the range, a spellbinding time is guaranteed for all.

🏰 What’s in Store for Your Wizard? Our magical curriculum is packed with adventures that help scouts earn those all-important Adventure Belt Loops:
- Climbing Tower: Scale the highest peaks of the castle!
- Swimming Pool & Canoeing: Master the Black Lake (or just have a blast in the water).
- Archery & BB Gun Range: Perfect your aim for those tricky magical creatures.
- Crafts: Create your own mystical masterpieces.

Prepare for a fusion of tradition and magic! To celebrate our 60th Anniversary, we are introducing a one-of-a-kind Scoutcraft & Wizardry theme that will ignite your scouts' imagination while mastering essential skills.

Registration closes tomorrow for our free theme reveal event on Saturday. If you're curious about the theme and plans for the 2026 summer, make sure to talk to your troop asap and join us. We promise you'll love what we have in store for 2026!

Each scoutmaster and SPL there will get a printed 2026 program guide. We'll have a theme logo sticker for everyone in attendance (which also highlights that 2026 will be our 60th Anniversary summer) and have a new branding iron with the year's logo ready for use after lunch if you'd like to add style to your hat, belt, or mug!

There are only 25 more days until Barnhardt's theme for 2026 will be revealed. How will we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Camp John J. Barnhardt?

Find out by coming to our free program reveal event on August 23rd! You can swim, boat, climb, zip, shoot, and learn more about our programs. All of this for free! We'll reveal the theme and the 8 new badges we're adding to our schedule.

Well done Troops 448 and 186. Sunni and I loved the feast, from the menu in to the full course meal to the music, presentation, and gateway. They also won at the slushie chugging contest, the oar jumping contest, and they were the first to discover the secrets of the lost raiding party of Sigrid Seabreaker. With that kind of start, it’s no surprise they help off Troop 5 (barely) to win our main event: the Viking Voyage! Well done!

Camp John J. Barnhardt’s NightHawks Staff can do anything… .s.watson and .june.553 are both leaders in the NightHawks first year camper program but also are Level 1 Cope Instructors that assist on the tower and zipline between 3:15 and 5:15 after their work in NightHawks is done. Jaden is a new staff member teaching NightHawks and is learning the ropes at the tower during freetime. We’re proud of our qualified and very dedicated team here at .

Don’t forget that we’ve got our Precamp zoom tomorrow night for leaders, parents, and SPLs attending Camp Barnhardt this summer.

It’s completely optional so don’t worry if you miss it, but it’s your chance to get a sneak peek into some of the special event details. Plus Staff SPL .s.watson and I will be there to answer any of your questions about the program, check-in, camping, etc.
