Our hearts are heavy as we offer our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on Thursday. Trooper Pelletier, a dedicated nine-year veteran of the Connecticut State Police and a member of the 125th Training Troop, was struck by a driver on Interstate 84 during a traffic stop.
Trooper Pelletier's service to the citizens of Connecticut was marked by unwavering dedication, pride, and professionalism. He was a 2007 graduate of Southington High School and a graduate of the K9 Academy with his loyal dog, Roso.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Dominique, and two young sons, Troy and Zachary. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our sympathies to his brothers and sisters in the Connecticut State Police.
Governor Lamont has ordered U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Trooper Pelletier until the day of his interment.
Rest in peace, Trooper Pelletier. Your courage, bravery, and commitment to public service will never be forgotten.
