Mike Buscetto of the Cactus Jack Foundation announced this morning that 50 scholarships will be provided to children from Waterford, East Lyme, New London and Montville (especially) to attend camps throughout the region. Children and their families are invited to attend a camp showcase on Wednesday the 12th at Filomena’s (262 Boston Post Rd Waterford) from 3:30-6:30pm to not only preview the camps in this program but to also meet their representatives. The Cactus Jack Foundation is also proud to be joined by Charter Oak Federal Credit Union and the Emily Eshenfelder Foundation. Waterford Youth and Family Services will have the scholarship applications available at the event. A variety of camps will be showcased. From music to nature, children will be able explore many opportunities.
