For 2 weeks this Summer, CT For All staff is joining members of CT Students for a Dream and Hearing Youth Voices to get to a deeper understanding of what the affordability crisis really means in CT, what are the political conditions we are confronting, and why a community-labor-faith coalition like CTFA is the way to build power and win policies that will make lives better for the majority of CT residents.

Like the SNCC, the Young Lords, the Dreamers, and more recently the Free Palestine student movement, young people have always led the way in our fights for justice—we know it will be the same in our state as we deepen our work with committed youth member organizations in our coalition.

Next up, we will hit the streets in Danbury, New Haven, and New London to talk to our neighbors about what they’d like to see in the upcoming state budget, including the fight for tax justice to fund our communities

Today at the steps of the CT Supreme Court “SB-397 Democracy and Government Accountability” was signed into law by Governor Lamont. We are incredibly grateful and proud for the collective work from our coalition partners, allies, and legislative champions that made protecting Connecticut from Federal attacks possible.

When labor, community, and faith organizations come together to fight for justice, we are unstoppable! An important win for our 2026 Stand Up CT campaign, and for all working people in our state 🔥

Thousands of workers, immigrants, students, and community members filled the streets of Hartford on Friday, May 1st, leading what organizers are calling the largest May Day mobilization in Connecticut in decades. The action anchored a statewide day of protest across Hartford, New Haven, and Willimantic as part of the national May Day Strong movement.

At the center of the mobilization, Hartford became the primary site of political action, where workers demanded an end to billionaire-driven policymaking and called for urgent investments in housing, healthcare, education, and immigrant justice.
