This Memorial Day, Gridiron Home honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Today is about more than a long weekend. It’s about gratitude, reflection, sacrifice, and remembering those who gave everything so future generations could live freely.

At Gridiron Home, we believe in teaching more than just sports.

We believe in building young leaders with discipline, respect, accountability, and heart. We believe in teaching our youth what it means to stand for something bigger than themselves — to work hard, support one another, and serve their communities with pride.

Because the lessons learned through sports go far beyond the field.

To all military families, veterans, and those remembering loved ones today — we thank you. Your sacrifice and strength will never be forgotten.

As we continue growing this program, we promise to keep building a culture that reflects the values this day represents:

At Gridiron Home, we believe in teaching more than just sports.

Our youth are the future, and from day one our mission has been to make an impact that reaches far beyond athletics.

Yes, we teach fundamentals, discipline, and competition — but more importantly, we aim to help shape confident, respectful, hardworking young people who carry these lessons with them throughout every stage of life.

We strive to build leadership.
We encourage accountability.
We teach teamwork, perseverance, and resilience.
We create a community where kids feel supported, challenged, and believed in.

Because long after the practices, drills, and games are over, the character they build along the way is what truly matters.

Thank you to every family, coach, volunteer, board member, sponsor, and supporter who helps us continue building something bigger than sports.

What a season. What a group. What a community.

As we wrap up another Gridiron Home session, we just want to take a moment to truly say thank you.

To our athletes — thank you for showing up every week ready to learn, grow, compete, and have fun. Watching your confidence build throughout this program is what it’s all about.

To our parents and families — thank you for trusting us with your kids, supporting our vision, bringing them to every session, cheering them on, and becoming part of the Gridiron family. This program would not exist without your support.

To our coaches and volunteers — thank you for every drill, every correction, every encouraging word, every early setup, and every late cleanup. You pour so much time and heart into these kids and it never goes unnoticed.

To the Gridiron Board and everyone working behind the scenes — thank you for continuing to build something bigger than sports. This program is about leadership, discipline, accountability, confidence, and community.

And to the creator of Gridiron Home — thank you for creating a space where local kids can grow not only as athletes, but as people. The impact being made in this community is something truly special.

This season may be ending… but we’re only getting started. 👟✨

Gridiron Families,

Due to the impending weather, we will be moving our final session back to Legends of Pittsburgh Fitness – Sports Plex.

All details remain the same:

🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Location: Legends of Pittsburgh Fitness – Sports Plex

We will still have lunch, prizes, and a great final session planned for all of the athletes.

Looking forward to a fun and exciting finish to the season — see everyone Saturday morning!

We created this Pay It Forward Campaign was created to help welcome new families into the Lower Burrell Flyers community and give kids the opportunity to play without financial barriers standing in the way. ❤️🖤💛

✔️ New players
✔️ Must be going into grades 1st-4th
✔️ Attends Burrell elementary
✔️ Tackle football only
