We again had a bumper crop of wonderful apple pies for the annual Skyview apple pie bakeoff! (Combined with the PA QSO Party) Each one had a unique flavor and texture. The only rule was that they had to be homemade. Congratulations to all that made pies!

Thanks to Steve, K3FAZ for the fabulous meatball hoagies.

Thanks to all that participated in the W3GH effort for the PA QSO Party. This is such a great event. Unfortunately, we had an issue with our logging software this year and our score will not be nearly as good as typical. But we gave it a good effort anyway! As always, it was great having QSOs with so many area hams and clubs. Until next time.

After our October business meeting Tom, AA3TZ inducted a number of our members into the Brass Knuckle Gang! There is a sweeping movement doing CW on the 2 meter band. After some quick desk-top QSOs on 2 meters and BOOM! Now we're gang members! Surely tattoos are next. Thank you Tom.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the CQ World-Wide RTTY contest over the weekend! Both experienced and newbie operators got to work the busy bands. Over 2400 QSOs were logged and just shy of 3 million points. The weather was perfect and we had a great fire going. Good deal.

Many thanks to the Southern PA Amateur Radio Club, K3IR for sponsoring this beautiful award! Skyview took first place in the PA QSO Party club competition with 5 to 25 logs submitted! Congratulations to all of the operators that worked the contest from the clubhouse and to those that submitted logs with Skyview listed as their club. Add to that, our clean sweep plaque (Worked all 67 PA counties)

Congratulations to Stan, N2US. He won the PA QSO Party QRP Single-op CW category. Stan dropped us an email thanking Skyview for sponsoring the plaque. Using only his Elecraft KX2 and small antennas he racked up 10,520 points! Looking forward to hearing Stan THIS year for the PA QSO Party October 10 and 11! We'll be hitting it hard from the clubhouse. Ops needed.
